Dallam International Summer School offers groups of boys and girls aged 12 – 16 the opportunity to study English and have fun in a safe, caring environment in the beautiful countryside of
South Lakeland in Cumbria. Our programme is aimed at near beginners, intermediate and more advanced students who must have studied English for at least one year.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to experience real life as a student in an outstanding, high-achieving school during term time.
The language programme is delivered by qualified tutors who use a varied programme of teaching and learning techniques to create interesting and enjoyable lessons. Structured, more formal, English lessons take place in the mornings, Monday to Friday, with practical activities aimed at increasing language skills and confidence taking place in the afternoons. Lessons will follow the timings of the usual school day so learners will see at first hand how an English school day functions and have the opportunity to make friends with existing students. It will also be possible to join in some fun end of school year activities.
A typical programme would include organised and escorted excursions on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Trips might include visits from a selection of places such as:
